Trackeano is a visionary startup founded by a forward-thinking farmer with a mission to revolutionize the beef industry. Their goal is to track and monitor livestock in real-time, preventing diseases and theft while enabling quality and origin audits for meat production.

The initiative aimed to provide users with comprehensive reporting capabilities, including visually appealing graphs and downloadable data tables.
Additionally, devices equipped with geopositioning capabilities needed to be efficiently visualized on a map, ensuring clarity even when hundreds of devices were present within a limited area. Furthermore, the platform required the ability to display device statuses based on custom configurations and alerts.

Challenges
- Fast Delivery: The client had a pressing need for a rapid solution deployment to meet industry demands and gain a competitive edge. Meeting the aggressive timeline without compromising quality or functionality was a significant challenge.
- Scalability: As Trackeano’s user base and the number of tracked devices grew, it was crucial to develop a scalable infrastructure capable of handling increasing data volume and user demands. The solution needed to be designed to accommodate future growth without compromising performance.
- User-Friendly Interface: One of the primary objectives was to create an intuitive and user-friendly platform tailored specifically for farmers. The challenge was to strike the right balance between simplicity and providing farmers with comprehensive data insights and control, ensuring that they could effectively utilize the platform without extensive training or technical expertise.
- Simple Design: The platform needed to present complex data in a visually appealing and easily digestible format. Achieving a clean and streamlined design while displaying a large number of devices on a map without visual clutter posed a significant design challenge.
Addressing these challenges required a combination of technical expertise, meticulous planning, and a deep understanding of the unique needs and expectations of Trakeano and their target users.

Solution
To address these challenges, our team focused on designing and developing user-friendly platforms that met the specific requirements of Trackeano. We conducted extensive user testing to refine the design and ensure optimal usability. Additionally, we strategically planned a scalable infrastructure on AWS to support the growing needs of the platform. The solution involved decoding the information transmitted by the ear tags and presenting the livestock's real-time positions on a map. Furthermore, we implemented features such as virtual fences, sending notifications to farmers whenever an animal strayed beyond predefined boundaries. We also developed additional alerts, including no motion alerts to ensure timely treatment for sick cows and notifications when cows spent extended periods without reaching water sources.
